Gibsons Small Craft Harbour Wharf Reconstruction

Small Craft Harbours (SCH) is undertaking a project to reconstruct the aging timber pile wharf at Gibson Harbour.  This wharf provides access to the commercial fishing harbour moorage floats, loading crane and large-scale concrete loading wharf.

The proposed project involves replacement of timber sub-structure beams, as well as replacement of a portion of timber piles.  This project also includes repairs to the asphalt decking and some carpentry around approach handrails and other superstructure elements.  Upon completion, this project will minize all associated risks to the site by allowing continued safe pedestrian and vehicle traffic along this wharf.
