Existing dock replacement - 2660 Panorama Drive

The proposed project

Replacement of existing dock in disrepair:

  • New fixed dock will be raised to a higher elevation with the addition of precast/cast in place concrete forms.
  • The upgraded fixed dock will connect to the upgraded walkway and will be supported by two metal monopiles replacing the two existing wood creosote piles.
  • A hinged ramp that connects to the moorage float and is kept in place by three steel piles.
  • Floatation for the moorage float will be encased polystyrene billets.
  • The new dock and piles will be prefabricated off-site then floated to the site by barge and installed using a marine crane.

District of North Vancouver, B.C. – February 28, 2024 – The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has determined that the proposed new dock installation located at 2660 Panorama Drive is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
