Interactive Assessment Map: Quick Reference Guide
This document is a quick reference guide for the different tools included in the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry’s interactive map. You can use this application and its tools to locate, visualize and analyze geographic assessment data.

The main tool bar, at the bottom of the map view, provides a variety of tools described below:

Description
Layer List
Provides the list of layers on the map. Each layer has a check box that allows users to turn each one on and off.
Assessment Summary
Provides a count of assessments contained in the map for each layer selected.
Nearby
Allows users to find assessments within a certain radius of a location, and view detailed information for selected results.
Filter
Allows users to filter assessment results based on selected criteria.
Basemaps
Choose from a gallery of basemaps and apply to your session.
Add Data
Add data to the map by searching content available on ArcGIS Online, and other websites or by uploading files from your computer.
Measure
Calculates the area of a polygon, the length of a line, or the coordinates of a point.
Draw
Provides basic sketching and markup functionality to the map.
Coordinate Conversion
Tool to convert coordinates entered from different notation formats.
Print
Print the current map display.
