Esquimalt Graving Dock (EGD) - Former Canadian Forces Sailing Association (CFSA) Uplands Soil Remediation Project

PSPC proposes to complete shallow remedial soil excavation in three locations in the lower CFSA Uplands area and demolish a small building. The intent of the excavation is to remove metals-impacted soil. Excavation will extend approximately 1.0 m below ground surface (mbgs) and the total amount of soil excavated will be approximately 350m3. The excavated material will be trucked offsite and disposed of in an approved landfill. The excavation areas will be backfilled with clean material and restored to pre-existing conditions. The fieldwork component is expected to take approximately 3 weeks.
