EastEnd Dock Extension-Dock Floor/Wall Refurbishment

Public Services and Procurement Canada proposes expansion of the drydock by lengthening it by 35 metres eastward, requiring demolition of formed concrete on bedrock, excavation, and new concrete construction. Project also includes dock walls and floor refurbishment of Section 3, partial removal/ reinstatement of the concrete dock bottom, and dock wall concrete repairs. Project scope includes excavation of bedrock, concrete works, retaining wall construction, adding a removable platform (bridge), and utilities realignment. Activities include blasting, rock anchoring, excavation, soil backfill, concrete pouring - which may require soil management/remediation, ground/surface water management, archaeological areas oversight. No direct disturbance to vegetation or marine environment.
