Esquimalt Nation Seenupin Road Extension

The Seenupin Road Extension Project involves the creation of an extension to the existing Seenupin Road located on Esquimalt Nation Reserve IR#0. The proposed extension will involve construction of new roadway on the west side of Admirals Road from Admirals Road to Kosapsum Crescent through what is known as the Triangle Site. The new road section will be approximately 220 m in length and will include a new four-leg signalized intersection at Admirals Road; a crossing of the Esquimalt and Nanaimo (E&N) Rail Line, E&N Rail Trail Multi-Use Path, and perimeter ditches around the Site; as well as full underground infrastructure upgrades including water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and shallow utilities. Planting and seeding will be conducted following completion of the construction phases to restore disturbed areas of the Project.

Completion of the Seenupin Road extension will allow for improved access to Esquimalt Nation lands through a dedicated access road connecting to Kosapsum Crescent and associated residential lots and commercial and industrial areas to the west and north of the Site.
