Mooring bollard installation

The proposed project

The Applicant proposes the installation of one new mooring bollard on the North Berth at Canada Place to prevent vessels from drifting. The new mooring bollard will have a footprint of approximately 1 metres by 1 metres and a depth of 1 metres. The bollard would require the removal of surface concrete and asphalt. The new mooring bollard may also require the installation of steel anchor bolts to secure the mooring bollards to the underside of the existing concrete deck. This would be completed by drilling or coring through the concrete deck, which would require limited work from a marine derrick or small scow to access and prepare the underside of the concrete deck.
