Nepean Sportsplex Parking Lot Rehabilitation

The City of Ottawa is undertaking the rehabilitation of the Nepean Sportsplex parking lot and drive lanes at 1645 Woodroffe Avenue Ottawa, approximately 200m south of West Hunt Club Road. The land is owned by the National Capital Commission and leased to the City of Ottawa. The project includes replacement of approximately 30,000m2 of asphaltic surface within facility entrance drive lanes, loading docks laneways, passenger drop off lane and rear parking lots. Site improvements proposed include modifications to the rear parking lot and drive lane layout to improve circulation and generate additional parking spaces; installation of a 50m long filter strip to promote groundwater infiltration; extension of the storm sewer system for installation of 3 new catch basins; installation of new and replacement of existing multi-use pathways and sidewalk connections; removal and replacement of existing concrete barrier curbs and installation of new landscape planting islands.
