YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel - Construction of a New Fuel Storage Facility

Mirabel Airport Fuel Facilities Corporation (MAFFC) intends to develop a new fuel storage facility located on Service A 4 Road at YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel. The proposed fuel storage installations will be an essential component of the airport, as they will replace the existing installations that will be decommissioned as part of a separate project.

The proposed fuel storage installations will consist of up to three (3) aboveground storage tanks with a nominal capacity of 500,000 liters each, to be installed within a secondary containment structure. They will also include one gasoline and one diesel aboveground storage tanks, with a capacity of up to 50,000 liters each and a 3,000-litre aboveground waste fuel tank, within a concrete containment pad. The installations will include concrete pads, associated piping, up to two (2) tanker truck loading and off-loading bays, mechanical equipment, pumps, filters, an operations building, a vehicle maintenance building, an electrical building, diesel-powered generator and associated aboveground tank, asphalted-parking and access roads, fencing, connections to existing airport services, and site drainage, which will include an underground oil-water separator.

February 28, 2024 – ADM Aéroports de Montréal issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects by applying the mitigation measures provided for in the project.
