YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel - Demolition of the meter station

Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. (TNPI) owns a meter station located near chemin Bélanger at YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel. This station, which was used to deliver refined petroleum products, is regulated by the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). As part of this project, TNPI plans to decommission the metering station, which has not been operational since 2005. The work will consist in dismantling and properly disposing of various equipment such as disused piping, filters, drainage lines, valves and hatches for scraping or inspection tools. No soil excavation is planned for this project and no concrete slabs or footings will be removed.

Latest update

October 22, 2021 - ADM Aéroports de Montréal has determined that the project to dismantle TNPI's above ground equipment is not likely to cause significant adverse effects.

This determination is based on the analysis of the anticipated environmental effects, on the mitigation measures put forward by Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. and on the feedback to the posting process on the CIRA website. The elements provided for in Section 84 of the Impact Assessment Act have also been taken into account.

Mitigation measures focus on the components of the physical environment related to air emissions, land use and quality as well as health and safety, and road traffic.

Consequently, ADM Aéroports de Montréal can exercise its powers to allow the project to proceed.
