NAV CANADA – Radiocommunications Tower (PRJ02758-Outside Plant FY24) – Ascot Corner (QC)

NAV CANADA is proposing to erect a new 21.1 metre self-support tower located on chemin Deblois in Ascot Corner, to the northeast of Sherbrooke in Quebec. The purpose of this tower is to replace a 16.9 metre self-support tower that has reached end of life. This project will install a new 11 x 20 feet equipment shelter, erect a new antenna support tower, install equipment and RF cables. The tower will be installed at geographic coordinates 45°28'40.7"N 71°46'45.1"W, on lot 5 285 522, owned by Transport Canada, in Ascot Corner, Quebec.

2024-06-17 – The public comment period on the project is closed.  Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
