Construction of Private Aircraft Hangar

April 5, 2024 – Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) intends to make a determination regarding whether carrying out the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.  To help inform this determination, HIAA is inviting public comments until May 6, 2024.

The proposed project includes the development of a 1-acre tenant leased site to accommodate the construction of an 1833 m2 private aircraft hangar, asphalt parking lot, and asphalt airside apron area. Construction activities will include site preparation (e.g., vegetation removal, grubbing, infilling, and grading) and construction of a hangar, parking lot, and airside apron.
