Naufrage SCH Slip Replacement Project

Naufrage Small Craft Harbour's launching ramp (structure 501) has reached the end of its useful life cycle and requires complete replacement to continue safe harbour operations. The existing asphalt and treated timber launching ramp will be removed as well as some of the structural material beneath to be replaced with new structural fill and new ramp construction. Both the north and south timber retaining walls on either side of the launching ramp (southern terminus of structure 411 and structure 403) will also be deconstructed, properly disposed of and replaced with new wall construction.

End of Public Comment Period

October 28, 2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours is considering comments received to date to inform its determination on whether carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
