Hardstand Maintenance - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Halifax

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. DND is proposing pavement rehabilitation (repair and replacement) at three DND properties at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Halifax in Nova Scotia; 12 Wing Shearwater, Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Bedford, and His Majesty's Canadian (HMC) Halifax Dockyard. At 12 Wing Shearwater, the work will include milling and repaving parking lots and replacing concrete sidewalks on Squadron Crescent adjacent to Building SH242 and between Puncher Avenue and Magnificent Avenue near Buildings SH15, SH30, and SH251. At CFAD Bedford, the work will include milling and repaving Carbon Road, the Arsenal Drive entrance/exit ramp roadway off Windmill Road, and the Carbon Road roundabout. At HMC Halifax Dockyard, the work will include milling and repaving the parking area and replacing concrete sidewalks across from the Rainbow Gate entrance near Building D247. At all locations, existing catch basins, manholes, grates/covers, frames, and curb drains may be removed and disposed of, then replaced, adjusted, or reset, as required. The work is expected to occur Summer/Fall 2026.
