Replacement of Geotextile Blast Walls - Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD)

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to carry out replacement of three sections of geotextile blast wall within the Explosives Area at Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot, totaling 190 meters in length. Project activities will generally include removal and stockpiling of gravel from existing blast wall structures; proper disposal of geotextile from existing blast wall; rebuilding blast wall with new geogrid mesh and stockpiled gravel; and restoration of all areas affected by construction to original or better conditions prior to construction.

December  1, 2022— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
