Water Treatment Facility Upgrades - Paqtnkek Mi'kmaw Nation

The project would involve installation of two new production wells in a previously cleared area, raw watermain installation along the existing roadway between the existing water treatment facility and two new production wells, and integration of new equipment to the water treatment facility within the existing footprint. The project will require approximately 1000m2 of additional clearing in a forested area adjacent to the Petow Loop Subdivision. 


Latest update

March 26, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until April 26, 2024, respecting that determination.
