Establishment of Semi-permanent Monitoring Camp

The objective of this project is to build a semi-permanent, low impact monitoring camp located in a remote area of Fundy National Park (FNP). This monitoring camp will help to facilitate critical ecological integrity monitoring activities related to the Fundy Salmon Recovery Program (FSRP), in particular but not excluding juvenile density monitoring via electrofishing and ecosystem productivity sampling. Further, this camp creates a window of opportunity for exploratory work to be done in the backcountry of FNP, allowing teams to spend multiple days in the field conducting research and monitoring activities. To meet these objectives, the project will require a small plywood platform to be built, allowing a canvas tent to be built on top of the leveled surface.
