Building Demolitions at Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot and Windsor Park- Canadian Forces Base Halifax

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed to carry out demolition of four buildings at Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot and one building at Windsor Park. Project activities will generally include hazardous materials abatement, removal and disposal of the free-standing buildings, removal of all footings and foundation walls, removal of all under-slab services and redundant underground services to the property line with cap off, removal of all overhead services, poles, wires, and earthworks to infill all demolished areas.

May  13, 2022— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
