Removal of Tank #3 - 14 Wing Greenwood Central Heating Plant

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to remove the 120,276 litre Tank #3 and associated piping at the Central Heating Plant. After the tank is removed, the structural galvanized steel access stairwell and walkway will be re-installed/re-supported to maintain access to the top of the remaining tanks. Secondary containment around the existing tanks will be re-established.

Latest update

December 19, 2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
