Re-construction of portage landing at Big Dam Lake

The proposed project will entail the replacement of the canoe landing at Portage Q, Big Dam Lake, Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site. The former landing structure at this location has reached the end of its service life, is in deteriorating condition and must be replaced. This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.

August 4, 2021 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Parks Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
