Fox Island South Range Replacement

CCG is planning the replacement of existing Aid to Navigation infrastructure located on Fox Island, North of Hardwick, NB. The navigational aid currently consists of a front range tower (6.5 m tall square skeleton with light and daymark) and a rear range tower (12.58 m tall square skeleton with light and daymark). The existing towers and foundations are set to be removed and replaced.

All tools, materials, and crew will be transported via barge, and moved overland approximately 100m for the beach to the site. Foundations will be installed with a skid steer using screw piles, eliminating the need for excavation. No tree clearing will be conducted.

The work is expected to begin December 2022. The project may slightly expand the footprint of the site as new design of the new foundation may be slightly larger. Footprint to be less than 16m2.
