Harbour Improvements at the Fairhaven Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbour, Deer Island, Charlotte County, New Brunswick

The proposed project will include replacement of cross bracing on structure 401, reenforcing shoreline protection on structure 602, and replacing the electrical system at the harbour. All work will be conducted within the existing footprint, with the exception of the additional shoreline protection.

December 9, 2021 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH) have issued their Notice of Determination after evaluation of the project Harbour Improvements at the Fairhaven Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbour, Deer Island, Charlotte County, New Brunswick and have determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects with mitigation measures as outlined in their evaluation and can therefore proceed.
