Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant - Canadian Forces Base Valcartier

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project for the installation of a solar power plant of approximately 1.5 MW. and overall gross area of 25 000. Civil work to include: digging, irrigation system, and access dirt road around solar power plant. Electrical work include: electrical underground trenches, electrical substation building ~200, overhead electrical line segment ~50m.

February 20, 2024 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
