Maintenance of the Minimal Trails Network at Pointe de l'Est National Wildlife Area

ECCC and local partners will process to the maintenance of the Minimal Trails Network (MTN) at Pointe de l'Est National Wildlife Area. The work will mainly involve replacing damaged or missing signs and resurfacing certain sections of the trail and will be conduct in september 2023.

The Canadian Wildlife Service has determined that the project to maintain the Minimum Trail Network at the Pointe-de-l'Est National Wildlife Area, Quebec, is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

This determination was based on the following factors

impact on aboriginal rights ;
aboriginal knowledge ;
community knowledge; and
comments received from the public.

The Canadian Wildlife Service is satisfied that the project is unlikely to cause adverse environmental effects.

Consequently, the Canadian Wildlife Service may proceed with the project.
