Government of Canada Building Construction in St. John's, NL

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is proposing the construction of a new Government of Canada Accommodations Facility (CRAAF) at 80 Kelsey Drive, St. John's, Newfoundland to consolidate Canada Revenue Agency's operations. The proposed building will be made of two three-storey wings that are linked together by a large corridor and will house a combination of office space, support space, an electrical/mechanical building, and a shipping and receiving area. A parking lot, new site landscaping, a footpath, and a controlled traffic intersection will also be included within the scope of work. The proposed site development also includes temporary diversion of the Leary's Brook stream to allow for the connection of a sanitary sewer.

June 23, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Public Services and Procurement Canada are considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
