The Proposed Project

Perimeter Ditching and Site Drainage Improvements

The purpose of the project is to divert surface water away from the landfill site. The proposed project consists of the excavation of two ditches. The first is along the west side and the second is along the north side of the landfill site. Both the south and east sides slope away from the site and ditching is not considered beneficial in these areas. To facilitate the ditching, cutting and removal of trees for approximately 10 m or less around the west and north perimeters of the landfill site will also be required. The installation of culverts will also be required along the existing access road. Excavated, excess soils will be disposed of on-site.
