Ross Lake Fire Guard

The objective of this project is to improve fire resilience in the Kicking Horse Valley and serve as a containment line to support large-scale fire management activities in the event of a wildfire or prescribed burn. This will be achieved by creating a forest-fuel break south of Lake O'Hara Road and northwest of Lake Louise spanning from Ross Lake (bottom of north slope of Divide Mountain) to Sink Lake along Highway 1.
