Yoho Administration Building Parking Lot Expansion

The former Parks Canada Field administration building was demolished in 2022 and Parks Canada staff and equipment were consolidated into the new Yoho Administration Building (previously the Field School). Due to the consolidation of offices into the Yoho Administration Building, Parks Canada proposes to expand the existing parking lot from approximately 11 to 27 parking spaces because of the need for additional parking. The expansion includes removing the existing playground and chain link fence and relocating the existing propane tank from northwest to southwest of the building. Activities also include construction and installation of electrical conduits and propane gas infrastructure; installation of block heater receptacles, electrical vehicle chargers, and street lights; laying asphalt, and pouring concrete curbs; and creation of green spaces with native vegetation adjacent to the parking lot.
