Lake Louise Heliport

This project will construct a new heliport in the Hamlet of Lake Louise, in compliance with Part III of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (2007). The new heliport will be constructed on the north side of the Trans Canada Highway, across the highway from the Lake Louise town site and east of Slate Road. Project activities will include: clearing and thinning of vegetation within the approach and landing zones and along the flight paths, construction of a concrete helipad, construction of security fencing and gate, installation of an above-ground petroleum storage tank with secondary containment and concrete pad, and installation of a fuel storage building. This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.
