Sunshine Village Sunshine Coast Improvements

Sunshine Village is proposing improvements to sections of the Sunshine Coast ski run located on Goat's Eye Mountain. The proposed Sunshine Coast Traverse will extend approximately 1,060 metres in length, oriented generally northwest to southeast, with an average running width of 10 metres. Construction of the traverse will require approximately 6,700 m³ of fill, placed adjacent to the existing run. The total estimated disturbance footprint (cut and fill, and improved skiway) is 13,400 m². A strip of riprap (approximately 3–5 metres wide) will be installed across the existing ski run to facilitate water diversion, and a geogrid will be used to manage surface drainage and slope stability. A temporary equipment access road will be required.
