Wharf Reconstruction and Launchway, Isle aux Morts, NL

DFO, Small Craft Harbour intends to carry out a wharf reconstruction project at the SCH facility in Isle aux Morts. The scope of work for this project involves the construction of a new treated timber crib L-shaped finger pier with some armour stone protection, as well as construction of a concrete launchway with rip rap protection. The project will also include some harbour dredging.

Notice of Determination

November 6, 2023 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours and Transport Canada – Navigation Protection Program has issued a Notice of Determination after evaluation of the Isle aux Morts project and has determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects with mitigation measures as outlined in their evaluation and can therefore proceed.
