Port of Oshawa West Wharf Fencing project - 1621 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa, Ontario

The Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority is proposing to improve the existing streetscaping adjacent to the port along Simcoe Street South in Oshawa. The new wooden fence is intended to replace sections of existing chain link fence to improve the aesthetics of the West Wharf. The project consists of approximately 571 m of new wooden fencing connecting into some existing chain link fencing and gates. The newly constructed wooden fence will sit at a height of 2.4 m and will be located on the port's property line.

March 1, 2023 – The Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
