Fiona Storm Damange - Wharf and Breakwater Reconstruction - Blue Beach, NL

DFO, Small Craft Harbour intends to complete a wharf and breakwater reconstruction project at the SCH site in Blue Beach. The scope of work for this project involves demolition and removal of the existing wharf and reconstruction of a new treated timber crib marginal and finger pier wharf with a reinforced concrete deck. The project will also include placement of armourstone protection along the seward edge of the wharf and dredging of the harbour basin and channel.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH) and Transport Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether carrying out the proposed project, located at the Small Craft Harbours site in Blue Beach, NL is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, DFO-SCH is inviting public comments in respect to that determination for 30 days following the posting of this notice.
