Loon River First Nation: CU363 Emergency Wastewater System Repairs

Loon River First Nation intends to conduct emergency repairs to components of its wastewater system including: multiple repairs to 150mm PVC piping, excavation and replacement of approximately 250m of 200mm PVC wastewater line, lining of 38 manholes, and forcemain pigging. All work is planned in previously disturbed areas including road ditch side slopes and back slopes, and is in close proximity to the Loon River watercourse.

August 10, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) until September 11, 2023 respecting the determination.
