Sawridge Band Solar Farm Project
Sawridge Band is proposing to construct and operate a new solar electrical generation facility with the maximum output capacity of 4.95 megawatts (MW) and up to 8.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) per year. The site is 10.1 ha with a target build-able area of the entire site. There will be approximately 18,000 solar panels arranged into approximately 25 arrays. It is planned to be 99 inverters of 50 kW each and 3, 2 MVA transformers. The electricity generated from the facility will be input into the local electrical grid that is part of Alberta's Interconnected Electric System (AIES).
