Dyer's Bay Small Craft Harbour - Wharf Repair

Sheet pile installation

Fisheries and Oceans Canada plan to encapsulate the inner portion of the timber crib wharf with new steel sheet pilings, due to its deteriorated condition. Steel sheet pilings will be placed in a linear arrangement in two locations; 1. on the north side of the wharf and 2. south side. The steel sheet pilings will be held in place with toe anchors driven into the shale bedrock. Tie rods will be installed across the width of the wharf through the north wall to the south wall to brace against the newly poured reinforced concrete deck.

Boat launch repair

Concrete panels will be used to repair the existing boat launch concrete. New concrete panels will be used to extend the length of the launch ramp to approximately 13.4 m.
