Shawanaga First Nation - Lot Servicing for future houses

The community of the Shawanaga First Nation proposed this project to clear, service and prepare lots to accommodate future houses. A lot of >1,000 m2 on developed lands were proposed within the community. Physical activities include earth works related to site preparation and clearing, extension of water and hydro services, and constructing septic systems.

Latest update

August 1, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until September 1, 2023 respecting the determination.
