DFO-SCH Boat Launchway Construction, Jenkins Cove (Twillingate), NL

DFO, Small Craft Harbours are proposing to construct a new launchway in Jenkins Cove (Twillingate), Newfoundland. The project will require demolition of the existing native timber slipway and storage area. A new launchway will be constructed in the footprint of the former slipway. The launchway will be concrete slab construction measuring approximately 4.8m wide by 21m long, utilizing 9 precast concrete slabs. The storage area will be backfilled and topped with Class A material. Riprap protection will placed along the perimeter of the new infrastructure.
