Restoration of Ducks Unlimited Canada wildlife habitats at the Baie de L'Isle-Verte National Wildlife Area: Salicorne, Du Quai and Aboiteau Girard marshes

The restoration work planned by ECCC and Ducks Unlimited Canada involves replacing the water level control structures of the developments and repairing breaches in the dikes. This restoration work is necessary to maintain the ecological functions of the marshes and the species that depend on them. The design of the restoration project took into account various considerations, including technical feasibility, costs and duration of the work, as well as valued environmental components (VECs) and the vocation of the national wildlife reserve.
