Runway Rehabilitation - 15 Wing Moose Jaw

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project to rehabilitate Runway 11L-29R at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. The scope of the proposed project is to remove the existing and install new; concrete and asphalt pavements, storm drainage and sub-drainage piping, runway, runway approach, and taxiway edge lighting and cables. The area of the runway is approximately 137,160 m2 and the proposed project will take the same space of the current runway area. The project site is located on DND-owned land and is located within the Airfield Operational Zone of 15 Wing Moose Jaw.


Latest update

March 25, 2024 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
