Installation of Primary Identification Signs at Grasslands National Park

Grasslands National Park of Canada will be installing Primary Identification signs in both blocks of the park to satisfy treasury board requirements to identify government lands and buildings. Four new signs will be installed along roadsides at entrances to the park. These signs will be over 1.2 m tall, which may have impacts on adjacent critical habitat for the greater sage-grouse. The greater sage-grouse have a sensory component to their habitat; anthropogenic structures over 1.2 m tall may negatively impact that sensory component. This project will be assessed using a basic impact assessment.
