Prairie Lights Power Project

Prairie Lights Power GP Inc. is proposing the construction, operation and decommissioning of a 360-megawatt natural gas-fired power generation facility that would deliver electricity to Alberta. The proposed Prairie Lights Power Project would be located 35 kilometres south of Grande Prairie, within the Municipal District of Greenview, Alberta.

December 13, 2019 – The public comment period on the summary of the initial project description is closed. The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is currently reviewing all comments received to prepare the summary of issues. The Agency will post the summary of issues at a later date.

December 3, 2019 – The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is making funding available to assist with participation in the impact assessment of this project. Applications received by January 6, 2020 will be considered.
