Ridley Island Barge Landing Restoration Project

The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) is proposing the construction and operation of the Barge Landing Restoration Project on Ridley Island. The project involves the transformation of a former dry land log sort site, encompassing both a water lot and an upland area, to facilitate the unloading of heavy materials necessary for approved industrial development on Ridley Island. PRPA and its tenants intend to use the barge ramp for loading and unloading equipment and materials necessary for upcoming and future development projects on Ridley Island that surpass the existing operational capacity of the roll-on-roll-off ramp situated on the west side of the island.
