Fairview Bay - CN Main Track Expansion

CN Fairview Bay Main Track Expansion

2022 11 04 - The Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is planning to build 1.08 kilometres of new track, located immediately adjacent to existing operating track, and extending from the north end of the Fairview Terminal into CN's Prince Rupert Yard. A portion of the proposed railway embankment, including approximately 338 meters of marine infilling onto the Prince Rupert Harbour foreshore to support the new track, is located within 640 square meters (0.064 ha) of Schedule B federal property administered by the Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA). Excluding this small portion on Schedule B property, the remainder of the project will be constructed on CN property and is not part of the federal environmental effects determination.
