Lax Kw'alaams Wastewater Transmission, Treatment and Disposal

This project consists of the construction of a new wastewater treatment and disposal system for the community of Lax Kw'alaams IR1. This concept consists of upgrades to the two existing community lift stations, a new forcemain connecting the community to the Bath Point Quarry, a concrete tank aerated lagoon wastewater treatment plant at the Bath Point Quarry, and a new outfall into Stumaun Bay.

July 15, 2022 - Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project:
is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
