Concerns involving the proposed Spanish Mountain Gold project

Hello,

As a property owner within the boundaries of the proposed Spanish Mountain Gold open pit mine project I have several concerns that I wish to have noted with the proposed project.

Concerns with this project include:

My existing residential surface water license is within mine boundaries and is at risk of being diverted with the proposed location of the mine and proposed "diversion of ground and surface water" described in the Initial Project Description which was recently released. This could potentially leave my residential property without running water.

----

There are 2 separate Section 16 UREP(Use, Recreation and Enjoyment of the Public) land reserves within the boundary of the proposed open pit mine that the "Initial Project Description" make no note of reference to. (UREP File #'s 5402790 and 5402791). This should be concerning as a project of this scale should at the very least be aware of existing land reserves/conservancy areas within its proposed development area boundaries. The "Initial Project Description" that was released to the public for comment states:

"There are no federal or regional parks, wilderness or conservancy areas, ecological reserves, or protected areas immediately adjacent to the Project. However, there is one recreational area, Boswell Lake Recreation Site, that is within the Project footprint."

To make no note of such land reserves in the "IPD" that was released to the public for comment leaves the impression they are either careless, incompetent, or possibly trying to hide or ignore said land reserves. UREP's, as defined the government, are conservation areas.

The Spanish lake RD is used to access many properties and, in some cases, is the only access to some properties. The proposed deconstruction and movement of the road could potentially disrupt local traffic for unknown lengths of time during construction, and, may not offer access to all existing properties it currently does. There is no mention of accommodation for the disruption this may cause.

----

Lastly, the loss of peace and quiet in what is a truly beautiful and cherished part of country. Spanish lake is unique in that it is one of the few large lakes that offer a minimal human footprint. The loss of that would be truly devastating.

I hope that there can be some sort of resolve for all parties, that accommodations can be made, and my concerns can be addressed. Any answers as to whether these issues can be addressed or not and how they will be addressed will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
