The Proposed Project

The Fisheries and Oceans Canada/Canadian Coast Guard (DFO-CCG) project consists of upgrading the five (5) weirs located in the Lac Saint-Pierre archipelago. DFO-CCG is responsible for the safety, protection and accessibility of Canada's waterways. DFO-Quebec Region's Real Property, Environment, Safety and Security (RPESS) Branch is the project proponent.

The scope of work on each weir could be different, but essentially consists of rehabilitating the existing structures by repairing damage and raising the crests to their original elevation to give them a new service life of around 40 years.
