Notice of Determination

October 6, 2023 - Infrastructure Canada has determined that the Muskoday First Nation – Construct Cultural Centre Project (the Project) is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects.

This determination is based on consideration of the following factors:

• impacts on the rights of indigenous peoples;
• indigenous knowledge;
• community knowledge;
• comments received from the public; And
• technically and economically feasible mitigation measures.

Mitigation and monitoring measures considered for this determination include active and adaptive management measures that would be implemented for the protection of the local environment. Considering these measures, Infrastructure Canada is satisfied that carrying out the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Accordingly, Infrastructure Canada may carry out the project, exercise any power, duty or function, or provide financial assistance to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part.
