Pikangikum Rapid Housing Initiative – Public Comments Invited
March 03, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed rapid housing initiative located in Pikangikum First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project
Pikangikum First Nation is building a new Elders Lodge (20 units) and Second Stage Housing (2x 5 plexs) = 10 units that will provide access to a multitude of services to support Elders, women and children at risk.
