Installation of a new manifold for loading vessels (berth 96, port of Montreal) – The public is invited to comment by September 24th 2021


August 25th, 2021 – A new project has been proposed and before proceeding, the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.


To help inform this decision, the MPA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Suncor Energy wishes to install at its Montreal-East Terminal, a new manifold for loading bulk petroleum products in vessels. The new manifold, located at sections 96 of the port of Montreal, will prevent interference with users of adjacent berth caused by the existing manifold.
